Until the moment the Warriors are eliminated from the playoffs, they will remain the NBA’s most dangerous team. The transcendent talent is all still there and we’ve seen them go through rough patches before, but nothing like this. Admittedly, the Warriors’ rough patches represent a level of performance most franchises would be thrilled with, but this just isn’t the same team it’s been.

According to Basketball-Reference, the Warriors are surrendering 110.7 points per 100 possessions — below league average and the team’s worst mark since 2010-11, the last year of Keith Smart. Their offense is still elite but driven more by individual skill than ever before, a departure from the collaborative contraption that vaulted them into contention. It might not matter in the end. But it might.
