The Houston Texans won the AFC South this past season, but towards the end of the year, many believed the Indianapolis Colts were the better team. This past weekend, the Colts proved that to be so, as Andrew Luck and company went into Houston and beat the Texans pretty soundly in front of their home fans.

As they start looking at the future, the Texans have to be excited by what they have. They have a legitimate quarterback in Deshaun Watson, who can make all the throws, as well as plays with his feet, and have the talent on both sides of the ball to be a perennial playoff contender moving forward.

The issue I have with this team is that they are very light up front on the offensive side of the ball, and need to do something this offseason to address that. During the 2019 NFL Draft, they may look to add to the group in the first round, and bringing in a guy like Dalton Risner from Kansas State would add incredible depth up and down the unit.

Risner is a guy who can play every offensive line position, and was most recently an All-American left tackle for the Wildcats. Houston needs to make sure they are protecting Watson at all costs, so Risner makes a lot of sense in round one, as the Texans try to keep pace with the Colts for supremacy in a very tough AFC South.
