High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Clint Capela (at ORL – $7,800): Needs 37.2 fantasy points. Capela was down to 32.5 fantasy points against the Cavaliers, but only played 30 minutes in the blowout. There are some blowout concerns in this one with the Magic being on a back-to-back and just not being very good. But I’ll trust that they can make it somewhat competitive after their big win on Saturday and being at home. Capela is reliable if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at DEN – $8,300): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. Nurkic had 51.75 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 11. And now he gets the Nuggets on a back-to-back. Not only are the Nuggets on a back-to-back, but this is a matchup where he typically dominates. He had 41.25 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Nov. 30 and been over 41 fantasy points in his last three games against them. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a proven matchup.

DeAndre Jordan (vs GS – $6,800): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. You won’t see me recommend Jordan often because his game is one of the most inconsistent games you’ll find. But I like the matchup as the Warriors still have frontcourt issues and we know what Jordan is capable of with his scoring and rebounding. He should be good for at least a double-double with a good numbers of rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: Wildly inconsistent, but a very good matchup.
