The Clemson Tigers are visiting the White House on Monday night where they’ll feast on a meal that is definitely not a part of a well-balanced diet.

What’s the reward for winning the college football national championship? A value meal from Wendy’s, McDonald’s or Burger King.

That’s right, Clemson players will be lovin’ it when they visit the White House on Monday after they were invited by President Trump after winning their second national title in three years.

According to the Commander In Chief, Clemson will be eating food that definitely will not jive with their diet and surely will require a few Tums for heartburn relief afterward.

“I think we’re going to serve McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Burger King’s [sic], with some pizza,” Trump said. “I really mean it. It’ll be interesting. I think that would be their favorite food, so we’ll see what happens.”

Oh, you thought a trip to the White House would have a more lavish menu? Well, not when McDonald’s has an awesome Mix and Match promo where you can get two of the following: Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Big Mac, Filet o Fish or a 10 piece McNugget for only $5.

Wendy’s has the 4 for $4 meal that has won over countless people with a rumble in their stomachs, but now they have the giant JBC meal for only $5.

But wait, Burger King also has 10 nuggets for $1 and you can get two Whoppers for $6.

The White House definitely had to take advantage of those deals.

While Clemson may prefer a Southern staple like Chick-fil-A if they were to eat fast food, one has to remember that there’s a government shutdown and there’s just not enough money for their delicious spicy chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.

And if all the burgers, fries and nuggets aren’t enough for the Tigers, they’ll also have some pizza to chow down on. One has to wonder if it’ll be Domino’s or Pizza Hut to fit in with the theme of the night.

Clemson’s White House visit is sure to be controversial because of the menu, and definitely not for anything else.
