North Carolina vs. Notre Dame live stream: Watch college basketball online

The North Carolina Tar Heels will look to rebound from a tough ACC loss on Tuesday night as they welcome the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to Chapel Hill.

At the start of ACC play, the North Carolina Tar Heels looked ready to be a powerhouse in the conference. That all came to a crashing halt this past weekend, though, as they were blown out against Louisville. Roy Williams’ team will now look to bounce back in Chapel Hill as they welcome the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to town.

In the loss to the Cardinals, the North Carolina offense was abysmal in a way they’ve not been all season. Everyone was at fault from Cam Johnson to Coby White, but the worst culprit was Luke Maye, who shot 3-of-14 from the field. The senior big man’s season has been rocky to say the least, but this was the low point. He needs to be better and quick.

As for Notre Dame, their 11-5 record coming into this game is a bit deceiving. Mike Breen’s team is less than stellar this season, having lost to every team of quality that they’ve been up against thus far. TJ Gibbs and John Mooney will have to step up big to beat this Tar Heels team on the road.

If the North Carolina offense can get back on track, though, Notre Dame doesn’t have the same prowess as a scoring team as the Tar Heels. As such, look for the Tar Heels to push the pace and control this game.

North Carolina really needs to bounce back in ACC play after what happened against Louisville. A matchup with this Notre Dame team might just be what the doctor ordered, however. This Fighting Irish team has been lesser than in recent years and has struggled to start conference play. Thus, we’ll see if the Tar Heels can ride that to get back on track.
