The New Orleans Saints got robbed on one of the more egregious non-calls you’ll see in a playoff game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

There have been a lot of questionable calls in the NFL this season, but the one we saw in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s NFC Championship might be the worst given the circumstances.

With the Saints in the red zone trying to score a touchdown with less than two minutes left, Drew Brees almost hit Tommylee Lewis for a potential first down or touchdown. Instead, Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman made contact before the ball came Lewis’ way.

The referees didn’t throw a flag, and the Saints crowd lost it. You can see a video of the play below.

Instead of a potential touchdown, the Saints settled for a field goal. The Rams were able to drive down the field just before the end of regulation to tie it and force overtime. After a costly interception by Brees in OT, the Rams were able to win with a game-winning field goal.

It seemed like Robey-Coleman got away with at least a couple of pass interference penalties in key moments of Sunday’s game. The officials seemed content with allowing both sides to duke it out, but social media was quick to point out more than a few potential missed calls during the NFC Championship.

This one is going to sting for a while for Saints fans, and they have a very good case to be upset about the officiating.
