Wondering how, where and when you can watch or live stream the season 2 premiere of Showtime’s SMILF? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.

The wait is over for fans of Showtime’s SMILF starring Rosie O’Donnell and Frankie Shaw, as season 2 will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 20.

For those of you who don’t know (and I didn’t either, so do not feel too bad about it), there is a brief change this season, as “SMILF,” at least for season 2, looks like it stands for “Single Mom Is Losing Faith.”  This is a departure from the original implied meaning, but, this makes sense, as the comedy surrounds O’Donnell’s character as the mother of Shaw’s character and makes even more sense because every episode in season 2 uses “SMILF” as an acronym.

They should have really gone this route for the first season too, but hindsight is 20/20.

Speaking of the first season, season 1 of SMILF did extremely well in terms of ratings, averaging over 500,000 live viewers an episode with the first episode bringing in well over 700,000 viewers. These are fantastic numbers for a Showtime comedy not named Shameless, and SMILF should be extremely proud of its early run so far.

This is purely speculative, but it would not be surprising if SMILF saw a slight boost in ratings throughout season 2, as the reviews for season 1 were relatively positive and word of mouth will have likely increased the number of people who want to check it out.
