The Detroit Lions missed the playoffs once again, and now have a ton of question marks heading into the 2019 offseason. They have a pending free agent in Ezekiel Ansah, a dominant pass rusher who is going to have a major market when he hits the market. He will have to be replaced along the defensive line.

During the 2018 season, even with Ansah, the Lions were one of the worst teams in football at getting after the quarterback. Had it not been for how bad the Oakland Raiders were in the pass rush, the Detroit Lions would have been the worst in the league, so it would make sense that they would use a first round pick on the spot.

One player who should hear his name called in the top-10 is Clelin Ferrell, a dominant edge rusher from Clemson. During his time with the Tigers, he helped the team to a national title, and established himself as a true first round prospect, and will be one of a handful of Clemson defensive linemen to go early in 2019.

Detroit is going to revamp their roster this offseason, as they play within a division that seems to be distancing themselves from them. Of course, they have a ton of money locked up in Matthew Stafford, whose contract eats up a lot of the salary cap, so it will be interesting to see what they do with him down the line.
