Players costing $6,250 or under

Kenneth Faried (vs ORL – $5,900): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. Faried continues to deliver for the Rockets and was up to 44 fantasy points against the Raptors on Jan. 25. As long as he’s starting, he’s delivering. He’s one of those guys who just makes plays and finds ways to impact the game. He’ll be needed in this game given the Magic frontcourt duo of Gordon and Vucevic. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Dragan Bender (at LAL – $4,600): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. Bender keeps playing well as a member of the starting lineup. He has slipped in the last couple of games but the minutes are still there and he remains at a good salary. And now he gets the Lakers, who would be the best matchup for him during this recent starting stretch. If nothing else, he’ll get you value. But expect more given his recent play and the matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jeff Green (at SA – $4,500): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. Green had 38 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 25. I don’t know what to expect from Green on most nights but he gets the minutes and I like this matchup. The Spurs do a good job of forcing other players to beat you. And Green is one of those weird guys who will step up and make life miserable for the Spurs. Diagnosis: A gut feeling with a high ceiling.
