The New York Jets have a major offseason ahead of them, and free agency may be the most important part of it.

Last year proved to be yet another forgettable season for the New York Jets. The team played to a record of 4-12, which led to replacing Todd Bowles and other members of his staff.

General manager Mike Maccagnan and team CEO Chris Johnson decided to name former Miami Dolphins head coach, Adam Gase, as the team’s next head coach. Gase has filled out his staff with the additions of offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and hiring Gregg Williams to be the team’s defensive coordinator.

Filling out the staff was one of the most important parts to this offseason for the Jets. Finding ‘their guy’ was a must and having Gase on board to help Sam Darnold may pay dividends.

However, there are still two glaring tasks in the horizon for the Jets. Those two tasks? The NFL draft and free agency.

The Jets will have the third-overall pick in the draft and a ton of cap space to play with in free agency. With a lot of talent in this free agent class, the Jets need to target these guys this summer.
