The Brooklyn Nets are having a great season. They’re one of the most entertaining teams in the league to watch, spacing the floor and playing high-scoring games. They have capable scoring threats in the backcourt with Spencer Dinwiddie and D’Angelo Russell. They have athletic wings in Rodions Kurucs and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. They have a rim-running shot blocker in Jarrett Allen. But in order for them to take the next step, they need to acquire players with higher ceilings.

Enter Aaron Gordon. The Magic forward has been stuck in Florida for far too long, and despite signing a new four-year contract with them in the offseason, that was a contract that was meant to be played out with a different team from the moment it was signed. The Magic can get two more picks in the upcoming draft, giving them a chance to stack a bench that has been bad for years. Crabbe is a skilled shooter that can play next to their point guard of the future (Darius Garland or Ja Morant perhaps), RHJ is a versatile defender, and Napier gives them a second unit point guard. It’s a win for both teams.
