1. Pierre Desir, cornerback

Some draft pundits raised eyebrows when the Browns passed on Bradly Chubb to select Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick in last year’s draft, but Ward proved all the doubters wrong en route to a Pro Bowl selection in his rookie season.

Now that the team has a bonafide star in their secondary, they must continue to build the unit up in order to help out the entire rest of their defense. One player who could get a look if he opts not to re-sign with his current team is former Browns fourth-round pick, Pierre Desir.

Desir has bounced around the league since being drafted by Cleveland in the fourth round back in 2014, but made the most of his low-risk, high-reward deal with Indianapolis this season. He posted exceptional coverage and run defense grades, per Pro Football Focus, and would be an excellent addition to the back end of the Browns defense.

Next. Browns make smart decision with hire of Kitchens. dark

Desir certainly played well enough to warrant a contract extension, but his injury history could scare the Colts off from making a long-term commitment. If he ends up hitting the open market, he would be the perfect buy-low option for John Dorsey and provides the length and size to match up with some of the AFC’s most talented wide receivers.
