The final selection in the 2019 NFL Draft first round goes to the Los Angeles Rams, who were the kings of the NFC this past season. Led by quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams steamrolled through the NFC, posting the No. 2 overall record in the conference, and getting to host a Divisional Round game.

In the Divisional Round, the Rams were able to take care of the Dallas Cowboys at home, punching their ticket to the NFC Championship Game on the road against the New Orleans Saints. The Rams were able to come up with a huge road victory, thanks in part to some friendly flags, and will now try to stop Tom Brady from winning his sixth Super Bowl ring as quarterback of the New England Patriots.

If the Rams are going to stop the Patriots, they are going to need a big game from their defense, led by guys like Aaron Donald, Cory Littleton, and the LaMarcus Joyner. Joyner is a guy who is set to hit free agency, and will be one of the best safeties is available, and the Rams may not be able to bring him back.

If Joyner decides to test free agency, the Rams may utilize their late first round draft pick on the safety position, bringing a guy like Nasir Adderley from Delaware. Adderley really stood out during the Senior Bowl, inching his way up to being a true first round prospect, and would be a nice addition for the Rams in 2019 and beyond.
