On Super Bowl Sunday, rap superstar 21 Savage was arrested by ICE, and fans quickly went “savage” on Twitter over the news.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday, by 21 Savage managed to steal the spotlight from the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams for a few minutes.

No, it wasn’t about music or his bountiful amount of charity work that he does for kids across the Atlanta metro area. No, 21 Savage grabbed headlines just two hours before the biggest sporting event in the world when he was arrested by ICE.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the rapper, whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested on Sunday morning by ICE agents in a “targeted operation.” ICE claims that the 21 Savage is not from Atlanta, but is actually from Britain, and came to the United States in 2005 on a visa. That said visa expired the next year, but Savage, allegedly, never left.

It was a head-turning for many just before the Super Bowl, and it left many dazed and confused about what is about to happen to one of rap’s rising stars. So, to check the pulse of this issue, we turn to the one trusted place where opinions matter: Twitter.

(He’s British (we think?), you know he’s got to give his tea and crumpets. But, he doesn’t do baguettes, as that’s a French thing, and 21 Savage isn’t French…. we think?)

(He’s in the red booth, cutting those fire tracks. [mumbles] 21, 21, 21.)
