Ranking the top 25 NFL free agents this offseason
By Ian Wharton
3. Frank Clark, DE, Seattle Seahawks
Another pass rusher with virtually zero chance to actually see the market this offseason is Frank Clark. The 4-3 end has been terrific over the last three years, but really became an elite threat in 2018. The Seahawks can’t afford to let him walk.
His speed and strength combination routinely overwhelms blockers as both a run and pass defender. He’s quick to read offensive line keys and holds his own at the point of attack. If Seattle fails to tag or extend him, he’ll be the biggest unrestricted free-agent edge rusher since Julius Peppers in 2010.
Projected deal: One year, $17.3 million (franchise tag) or five years, $110 million
Best fits: Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, Detroit Lions
