Wondering if you can watch Game of Thrones on Amazon Prime? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.

The final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is almost here! Whether you rewatching the first seven seasons or preparing for season 8, you may be wondering if the fantasy series is available to watch on Amazon.

While it may be bittersweet, Game of Thrones season 8 is one of the most anticipated television events of the last few decades. The six remaining episodes will begin on April 14 and end six weeks later on May 19.

Practically everyone will be tuning in on Sunday nights to watch the series live, but what about those who have Amazon Prime?

Can you watch Game of Thrones on Amazon Prime?

This is a bit more complicated than a simple yes or no question because the answer is “it depends.”

The simple answer is no. Game of Thrones is produced by HBO, so it requires an HBO subscription to stream the series. Every episode that has already aired is available to stream immediately with the right HBO subscription.

However, Amazon Prime does have an HBO channel and, if you wish to purchase an HBO subscription, it is possible to watch Game of Thrones through Amazon Prime through a paid, standalone channel on Amazon Prime Video. If you wish to pursue this option, you can follow this link.

And, as always, you can find deals on full seasons of Game of Thrones with an Amazon Prime membership. The first seven seasons are all available for purchase, and, depending on the seller, an Amazon Prime membership may be able to get you the series shipped for free.

That being said, it will be a while before season 8 is available to be purchased anywhere, including Amazon, so keep an eye out for the release if this is the method you want to use.
