WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: Preview and predictions

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Miz & Shane McMahon (c) vs. The Usos
I’ll be the first to admit that when WWE started this whole idea of a partnership between The Miz and Shane McMahon, I wasn’t crazy about it. Both are great at what they do and Miz has shown over the years that he can partner up with just about anyone and make it entertaining, but this didn’t feel quite right.
However, I will say that I’ve been enjoying this McMiz (it’s way more entertaining than “The Best Tag Team in the World”) thing way more than I ever thought I would. The chemistry has been there and although they didn’t have the greatest match in the world at the Royal Rumble, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship win over The Bar worked out well enough.
As for The Usos, they earned their way into this match at Elimination Chamber by way of — you guessed it — a fatal four-way match to determine the No. 1 contenders, taking out The Bar, Heavy Machinery and The New Day.
Prediction: This is actually a toss-up in my opinion. There are heavy rumors that Jimmy and Jey may be looking to leave WWE when their contracts expire in April and I’m sure All Elite Wrestling would be willing to open up the checkbook for one of the best tag teams of the last decade. So does Vince try to keep The Usos happy by giving them another title run? Maybe. The more likely scenario, however, has The Miz and Shane McMahon retaining. We know the inevitable breakup is coming, a breakup that leads to a Miz vs. Shane match at WrestleMania, but it’s a little too early for that. So I’ll say that McMiz gets the win here and then goes into Fastlane with the belts and loses them there.
