2. Los Angeles Chargers

Then again, even if Suh doesn’t return to the Rams, he may not need to move too far. Los Angeles’ “other” team could also benefit from adding the disruptive defensive tackle.

Similar to the situation in New Orleans, Chargers officials know that Philip Rivers isn’t going to play like a Pro Bowler forever. If they want to get him a Super Bowl ring before Father Time starts to take his toll, they’ll need to load up on talent this offseason.

The Chargers defense was pretty good in 2018, but they could still use another playmaker on the defensive line. Lining Suh up never to Joey Bosa or Melvin Ingram on a regular basis could be a really intriguing combination for Anthony Lynn and his coaching staff.

The big question here is whether or not Lynn is the right coach to keep Suh motivated and on task. If the Chargers front office believes the answer to that question is yes, they should look to bring him on a short-term deal. If they have concerns about Lynn’s ability to handle Suh’s personality, look for them to take a safer course of action to strengthen their defensive tackle rotation.
