2019 NFL mock draft: Cardinals select Quinnen Williams
By Brad Weiss
One of the better stories of the 2018 NFL season was the play of the Cleveland Browns, who seem to have made the right decision by selecting Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Of course, in order for Mayfield to actually get on the field, the team had to part ways with head coach Hue Jackson, who won only three games in three seasons as the team’s man in charge.
In Mayfield, they finally have the franchise quarterback that they have been lacking for years, and the team should go out and continue to bring in weapons for his development. While Jarvis Landry, Antonio Callaway, and David Njoku are great options in the passing game, the Browns may want to select a player like N’Keal Harry from Arizona State in round one this April.
Harry is a guy who can take the lid off of a defense, and if the organization wants Mayfield to continue to develop, this is another great piece to put around him. This is a Browns team that could legitimately be a playoff contender in 2019, but they are only going to go as far as the strong right arm of Mayfield will take them.
This is a very different draft for Cleveland, who usually are picking within the top five picks of the first round. In fact, they have held the previous number one overall selections, hitting it big with guys like Mayfield and defensive end Myles Garrett, as they have finally started turning this franchise around.
