The Buffalo Bills have turned their roster over quite a bit since Sean McDermott took over as head coach, and two years ago, they finally broke their playoff drought. After not making it to the playoffs since 1999, the Bills made the playoffs during the 2017 NFL season, and appeared to be a team that was going to be in the mix for a playoff spot for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately for the Bills, they had to take one step backwards in 2018 to ensure they could take two steps forward in 2019 and beyond. The Bills traded up in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft to select Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, and while he had his fair share of bumps along the way in his rookie season, he looks like a franchise quarterback for sure.

When it comes to this draft class, there are some offensive tackles that should hear their name called in the top-15, and Jawaan Taylor from the University of Florida is one of them. While this may be a pretty high spot for the big fella, he has everything that you look for in a franchise left tackle, and the Bills need to protect their number one asset moving forward.

Buffalo has a lot of work to do with this roster, and they could really go a number of different ways with the No. 9 overall pick this April. However, if this organization is ever going to get back to the top of the AFC East, they have to protect their franchise quarterback, and bringing in a punishing offensive tackle like Taylor makes a lot of sense in the top-10.
