Everton face Liverpool at Goodison Park on Sunday, March 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Before Divock Origi scored the last minute winner at Anfield, it seemed as if Everton finally had a result against a big side. It would’ve been doubly sweet that it came at the home of their hated rivals, Liverpool.

Yet, there was heart and spirit to that performance, and Everton will need plenty of that when their neighbours come for a shot visit on Sunday. Both teams scored plenty in midweek, but the manner of Liverpool’s victory after a few underwhelming results prior will be extremely satisfying to both players and fans. Marco Silva has made sure that Everton are a competitive team again, especially in the derby, but his own personal record against the big sides is extremely poor. The form table isn’t really an indicator when it comes to a big derby like this, but Liverpool should rightly be called the favourites for this one.

Everton’s inconsistencies, especially in defence, have been laid bare time and time again. Furthermore, a lack of flexibility up front and the sole dependency on Richarlison and Gylfi Siggurdsson for to provide a creative spark has seen Everton play out some dour games. Theo Walcott has been average at best this season, and yet finds himself in the starting line up week in week out. Silva doesn’t seem to trust Ademola Lookman, but he needs to mix things up somehow against Liverpool. The Reds have been miserly in defence this season, and Everton will need something special to score against them.

At the back, Everton will have to deal with the pace and trickery of Sadio Mane and Mohamad Salah. Salah hasn’t scored in a few games now, but while his form has dropped, Mane’s form has picked up.
