Nick Bosa has been projected as one of the top players in the upcoming draft class. On Sunday, it was his turn to try and impress at the NFL Combine.

Nick Bosa’s draft stock probably can’t get any higher than it already is. Many outlets and experts have had him ranked as the number-one prospect on the draft board, which means a ton mock drafts have his name as the first to be called on draft night.

Regardless of what the Arizona Cardinals do with the first-overall pick, Bosa will likely be the first defensive player selected. In three seasons at Ohio State, he had 17.5 sacks in 29 games.

Sunday, Bosa took his combine reps with the linemen and linebackers. He didn’t disappoint either. According to NFL.com, he was measured out at 6-feet 4-inches and weighed in at 266 pounds. His hand size was 10 3/4 inches and his arms measured at 33 inches. These results were very similar to the combine results his brother, Joey, had in 2016.

Nick’s other combine results were close, or better, then his brother’s as well. Nick’s unofficial 40-yard dash time was 4.79 seconds, his 3-cone drill time was 7.1 seconds and he ran the 20-yard shuttle in 4.14 seconds.

Nick also had a vertical jump of 33.5 inches, a broad jump of 116.0 inches and he pumped out 29 reps on the bench press.

In a draft that is loaded with talented, promising defensive players, Bosa performed well this weekend to keep his draft stock stable. As mentioned before, there seems to be a growing likeliness that the Cardinals select Kyler Murray with the number-one pick. If it wasn’t for Kliff Kingsbury’s past relationship with Murray, Bosa would probably be the first-overall pick in the draft.

Even so, Bosa will go within the top-five. His combine results were close to his brothers, and Joey was a former-third overall pick who has made a name for himself as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers. He has all the tools to be an elite defensive end in the NFL, and his combine reinforced how much raw talent he has.
