The New York Jets are another team that could be moving out of their early draft slot, as they traded up to get their franchise quarterback during the 2018 NFL Draft. Last year, the Jets had to move up to No. 3 overall to get Sam Darnold from USC, but this past season, they earned their spot this high in the first round by winning only four games.

Sure, Darnold did not play great as a rookie, but he did earn the job out of camp, and showed that he has the potential to be a very good quarterback in the NFL. This is a Jets team that has a lot of work to do in  terms of their roster heading into 2019, and it has to start up front on both sides of the ball.

When it comes to this draft class, many believe the best overall player is Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who had himself an impressive combine. He did nothing to diminish his place as the elite player in this class, and if the Jets do hold onto No. 3 overall, he would be quite the get for their defense.

New York has a new head coach in place for 2019, as they fired Todd Bowles after last season, and replaced him with former Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase. Gase is not a guy who is going to sit around and wait for this thing to improve, so expect the Jets to be aggressive in free agency, possibly signing Le’Veon Bell, and take a defensive player early in round one in April.
