As we head into a new league year, there are plenty of big-name free agents available, and C.J. Mosley is the best inside linebacker out there.
Heading into free agency, C.J. Mosley is the best inside linebacker available, and will have his fair share of suitors in the new league year. Mosley has been a dominant player since coming into the NFL out of Alabama, and with plenty of good years ahead of him, he will certainly be an impact player no matter where he goes in 2019.
Here are the five best fits for C.J. Mosley in free agency.
5. Arizona Cardinals
It is no big secret that the Arizona Cardinals have a lot of work to do this offseason, and they do hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. While there has been speculation about the team bringing in Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, they would be better off adding to a defense that was downright terrible in 2018.
If they can add an elite defensive lineman with the pick, either in the interior, or on the edge, Arizona would be much stronger up front. Chandler Jones is one of the better edge rushers in football, and adding more talent along the defensive line would give the Cardinals a chance to really improve this roster.
In the middle of their defense, there is a serious deficiency, and bringing in a player like C.J. Mosley would really solidify the middle linebacker position. Arizona has young talent in the secondary, and Jones up front, so Mosley in middle would make their defense much better in 2019, as they look to get out of the cellar of the NFC West in Kliff Kingsbury’s first year as head coach.
