C.J. Mosley rumors: 5 best fits in NFL free agency
By Brad Weiss
1. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers have arguably the most talented quarterback in the NFL, so it is kind of amazing that they have only won one Super Bowl with him under center. In 2019, Aaron Rodgers and his Packers teammates will have a new head coach, as Matt LaFleur will replace Mike McCarthy as the man in charge in Green Bay.
For McCarthy, his run ended due to a deteriorating relationship with Rodgers, who will be looking to get this team back to the top of the NFC North this season. The Packers have the talent on both sides of the ball to be a playoff team, but this defense is missing that star piece in the middle of the defense that C.J. Mosley can bring.
Mosley on the Packers makes the most sense, as he is going to want to go to a team that can challenge for a Super Bowl title, and the Packers are not that far off. With an elite quarterback, this Packers team is going to put up points on the offensive side of the ball, and the organization will be tasked with bolstering the other side.
Mosley would instantly make this defense better, and when you look at the young talent they have in the secondary, they are not far off from being a solid team defensively. Even in good years, the Packers defense has struggled, but Mosley would give them the kind of elite talent they have not had at middle linebacker in a long time.
