Round 5: Bobby Okereke

Candidly, we’re not sure whether or not Okereke profiles better at linebacker or safety at the next level. We also believe the distinction between the two positions has never been more blurred in the NFL. As such, he makes sense for Carolina in either spot.

Critics of Okereke would call him a tweener. He’s not quite fast enough to excel at safety and he isn’t quite physical enough to be a top-notch linebacker. When he gets into an NFL weight room he’s got the sort of frame who can add effective weight. That gives Okereke a chance to make it as a weak side linebacker or a hybrid safety. You can’t ask for much more at this point in the draft.

Round 6: David Sills V

We’ve much higher on Sills than many scouts. We think he looks a lot more like a third or fourth round pick than a sixth round selection. However, we’re going with the industry consensus as to when he’ll hear his name called.

For the Panthers, getting him this late would be an absolute steal. They could work him in as a tight end/slot receiver early on. In a league that’s increasingly based on creating mismatches in the passing game, Sills would give Turner a massive toy to play with.

Next. Landon Collins looks to be done with the Giants. dark

No, he’s not going to turn into Rob Gronkowski, but there’s no reason he can’t be a reasonable approximation of a healthy Tyler Eifert. That’s high praise, but when you watch Sills on film you see glimpses of big-time ability.
