The NFL is set to kick off their new league year with free agency, but there are plenty of eyes still on the NFL Draft which is a short month away.

It was less than a week ago that the NFL world centered around Indianapolis for the annual combine. Executives, and coaches alike gathered at Lucas Oil Stadium to watch the invited prospects run drills, perform medical evaluations and meet with teams in preparation for the NFL Draft. Fans and media members are privy to the “fun stuff” and overreact to those things. Where the real decisions makes, on the other hand, know that the most important tools for evaluating these players take place behind closed doors.

Coming out of the combine there are tons of narrative leading the NFL. Aside from free agency news, which are dominating the news cycle, draft analysts are trying to sift through all the information released when everyone was gathered in Indianapolis.

Perhaps the biggest piece of news that came from the combine was surrounding Kyler Murray. The Heisman winning trophy quarterback was the talk of the first day with an excellent measurement. This is leading to some in the media speculating just how high he could be taken. In this case, it may be wise to remind yourself of the old adage, “where there’s smoke there is fire.”

Aside from Murray the combine showcased excellent performances by some of the draft’s biggest names. You can see who were the best performers in Indianapolis here.

Unfortunately there were players who will need to make their case at their pro day. There are always prospects who struggle on and off the field. This year was no different. To see the list of the ten worst performers, click here.

The best part of the combine coming to an end is that it officially kicks off mock draft season. In the coming weeks there will be every version of a mock draft, ranging from a single first round mock draft all the way to a full seven round mock draft. This article is an example of the latter.

Buckle up, and prepare yourself for a full seven round mock draft that will go through every pick. Of course things will change, but as it sits, this is how the draft is shaping up after the combine has ended.
