FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 17, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Karl-Anthony Towns (at HOU – $11,400): Needs 50.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.4 fantasy points against Utah. You typically know what you’re getting from Towns unless he’s just in all the foul trouble, which is always possible. And this is typically his matchup. He’s averaging 49 fantasy points in two games against the Rockets this season but the ceiling is much higher for him right now with the Timberwolves playing for nothing and the Rockets going through some motions. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Nikola Vucevic (vs ATL – $10,000): Needs 44.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.2 fantasy points against Cleveland. Lack of minutes led to a down night for Vucevic against the Cavaliers but he still did well for himself. And now he gets the Hawks. He’s averaging 1.56 FPPM in his last five games against the Hawks and 54 fantasy points in those contests. This should be a huge night for Vucevic. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Clint Capela (vs MIN – $7,800): Needs 34.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.2 fantasy points against Phoenix. Capela has settled into his spot and even though he’s not delivering big games, he’s doing enough to at least get you value. And he typically plays very well against the Timberwolves. It was his play against the Timberwolves in the playoffs that really got him paid. He had 45.1 fantasy points in the December meeting between the two teams. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
