In just a few days Us hits theaters. But, like so many films these days, is there anything hidden away once the credits begin rolling?

Us destined to be one of the biggest horror movies of the year, and unanimously positive reviews indicate that we’re getting something truly special. Sadly, that won’t include a mid-credits or post-credits scene. Once the credits start rolling on Us there are no mid-credits or post-credits sequences, so if you’re sat in a cinema right now wondering if there’s any point sticking around feel free to grab your jacket and make for the exit.

You’ll be missing out on the names of the many talented men and women who put this fine movie together, but I’m sure the cleaners at the cinema will appreciate being able to start prepping the auditorium for the next film.

That Us doesn’t have anything after or during the credits isn’t a huge surprise. Like Get Out, this is intended as a standalone film and there are no plans for sequels or for the film to launch some kind of “Peeleverse” (as awesome as that might be).

However, don’t let the film not having any stingers or twists after the finale put you off seeing it. Right now it’s sitting at a rare 100 percent Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics describing the film as “brazenly terrifying“, that it “shows just how much the horror genre can achieve” and, perhaps most impressively, has Brian Truitt for USA Today describing Jordan Peele as “this generation’s Hitchcock.”

As a huge fan of Key & Peele, I am over the moon to see Jordan Peele getting this kind of recognition. With Get Out, he demonstrated a rock-solid grasp of suspense and body horror, combining to create a truly unique political and sociological horror movie. That Us is apparently as good — or even better — than Get Out is more than we could have hoped for.
