In this exclusive preview of Martian Manhunter #4 the curse is about to unleash its fury, forcing J’onn J’onzz to make a tough decision.

H’ronmeer’s Curse has been making its way through the city and it won’t be long before the horrifying plague enters the Thoughtstream. J’onn J’onnz knows more about the curse than most people and that’s why he’s willing to cross lines to make sure he can save his family, but it might be too late. In our exclusive preview of Martian Manhunter #4 J’onn is faced with tough decisions while the threat of the curse looms large.

Steve Orlando’s Martian Manhunter maxiseries has been nothing short of stunning. The story of J’onn J’onzz, who is perhaps better known by his title of Martian Manhunter to some fans, has always been something of a mystery. Orlando’s series has blown the Mars native’s story wide open, for better and for worse, revealing the complex and often tragic history of one of the Justice League’s more enigmatic members.

In this exclusive preview of Martian Manhunter #4 the Emergency Ward in the city of G’orr G’regg is seeing a victim of H’ronmeer’s Curse. It’s noteworthy because the previously held consensus was that the curse couldn’t impact Whiteflesh, but that simply isn’t true. And since H’ronmeer’s Curse can infiltrate thoughts (the preferred method of communication for Martians) it’s a particularly dangerous disease.

The problem lies in the Council. Officially there is no epidemic to speak of. The doctors and the residents of the seedy underbelly of the city know the truth, though, and it’s that there won’t be an announcement about the disease until there’s a cure and that means the bodies will continue to pile up.
