With two weeks of play in the record books between SEC baseball teams, the conference picture is beginning to come in to focus.

It was another stellar week of play between SEC baseball teams this past week. Some of the things we thought we knew about the conference from February to mid-March are being reinforced through the first six games in SEC play. There are other things though that we still don’t know.

What we know

The West is still best and the East is still least. That’s probably painting with too broad of a brush, but the general idea of the West being the better of the two divisions is the best way to describe the conference.

That doesn’t mean the East is a cake walk. The Georgia Bulldogs still continue to impress and will be a serious contender for the overall league championship, and the Vanderbilt Commodores might have the most talent of any SEC baseball team.

But the West is a beast. Currently, there are six SEC baseball teams from the SEC West ranked in the D1baseball.com Top 25. Of those six teams, three of them are currently in the top 10. There is no such thing as an easy weekend for teams in the SEC West.

What we are still trying to figure out

What is going to happen with Ole Miss, Florida, and Tennessee? All three of those teams have put together very mixed results. There is still plenty of time for these teams to figure things out, but they need to get more consistent before the calendar gets too deep into April.

For reference, here are the rankings from the previous week. And without further adieu, it is time to see how the SEC baseball teams stack up from one through fourteen.
