2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins go early
By Brad Weiss
The New England Patriots hold the last pick in the first round in 2019, this after winning their sixth Super Bowl with Tom Brady as their starting quarterback. With the win, Brady became the only player in NFL history to win six Super Bowls, a testament to him being the best quarterback who has every played the sport.
As they head into 2019, they will be without one of Brady’s best weapons ever, as Rob Gronkowski has decided to retire at age 29. During his time in New England, Gronk became one of the more beloved sports stars in Boston history, and leaves behind some incredibly big shoes to fill on, and off the field.
With the No. 32 pick, New England could look to add his replacement, and Noah Fant from Iowa is a guy who should hear his name called in the first round. Like Gronkowski, Fant is an incredibly gifted pass-catching tight end, who is not afraid to get dirty and get in there and make big blocks down the field.
Gronkowski is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as he is arguably the best tight end in the history of the sport. He set plenty of Patriots records during his time with the team, winning three Super Bowl rings, and will go down in history as one of the more colorful characters this game has ever seen.
