Publicly the Jaguars insist there’s no chance they’ll deal Jalen Ramsey this offseason, but these five teams should be placing calls to GM Dave Caldwell.

Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade. Let the games begin.

The Jaguars locker room featured a lot of drama last season and Ramsey created more than his fair share. That, combined with the fact he wants a new deal wasn’t going to make anything go smoothly this season if wins weren’t rolling in. In related news, Jacksonville is 0-2.

At the very least, teams capable of contending for a Super Bowl title with a need at cornerback should call the Jaguars and see what it might take to pry Ramsey away. The drama he can cause might upset a weak locker room, but there’s no question about his play on the field.

5. Detroit Lions

The Lions aren’t just one player away from becoming Super Bowl contenders, but they do have a notable vacancy at the cornerback position. Darius Slay is one of the best corners in football, but Teez Tabor is gone and the gaping hole in the lineup remains.

It would be very interesting to see what sort of scheme head coach Matt Patricia would dial-up with both Pro Bowlers at his disposal. Detroit has a good defensive line, and the acquisition of Ramsey would allow them to bring a lot more blitz packages to chase the opposing quarterback.
