NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight’s netminder for me is David Rittich ($8,300) on the road in LA. Los Angeles ranks 29th in the league in GF/G at home with a 2.66 average. Earlier this season Rittich shutout the Kings stopping all 21 shots he faced and earned 9.2 DKFP.

Braden Holtby ($8,000) and the Capitals head to the Sunshine state tonight to take on the Florida Panthers who are just playing out the string at this point. Florida ranks 7th in the NHL in SF/G with an average of 32.9 . Holtby has won 4 straight starts and has allowed just 7 goals during his win streak, stopping 111 shots in the process.

My last play of the night, Frederik Andersen ($7,700)  is more of a GPP play, on the road against the Islanders. People will see the Islanders and know they are a playoff team and not dig deep. If you did realize the Islanders rank in the bottom half of the league, 21st exactly, in GF/G only averaging 2.76 per game, but only average 28.7 SF/G, but they have averaged 32.5 per game against the Leafs this season.

Other options: Jordan Binnington ($7,900), Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,400), Henrik Lundqvist ($7,600)

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – MARCH 27: A close-up view of sticks belonging to John Tavares #91 of the Toronto Maple Leafs prior to the game against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center on March 27, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Top Tier:

Like I did with Toronto on Saturday night, I am recommending Tampa Bay as my top-tier play against the same Ottawa team. Any of the top guys (Stamkos, Kucherov, Point, etc) are in play in what could be a complete and utter dismantling tonight. But you could be go with some of the 3rd and 4th line players (Alex Killorn ($4,700), Anthony Cirelli ($4,500)) because since everything is locked up for Tampa, they may limit the minutes of the stars if the game is out of hand .

Nathan MacKinnon ($7,100) – MacKinnon has cooled off since the start of the season, partly due to the injuries to Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog, but MacKinnon does have goals in back to back games and points in 3 straight. Mac is joined on the top line for the Av’s by JT Compher and Alex Kerfoot  not.

John Tavares ($6,900) – Tavares had a very disappointing return to Long Island earlier this season and you know he wants to have a better game this time. JT did recently have a 4 goal game against the Panthers, but he has only scored 1 other time in the previous 5 games and needs to start getting his game going heading into the playoffs and what better way than against his old team.

Mid Tier:

Ryan O’Reilly ($6,200) – Even if he wasn’t hot  I would still include O’Reilly for the Brian Tulloch Revenge Narrative Night factor. O’Reilly has torn up his old team this season with 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 games against the Av’s this season. Over his last 4 game O’Reilly has 1 goal and 3 assists and is riding a 4 game point streak.

Brady Tkachuk ($5,200) – Ottawa have been playing out the string since October 4th, but they still play hard, and one of those guys who plays hard every game is Tkachuk. Brady has a goal and an assist against Tampa in 2 games this season and over his last 4 Tkachuk has 3 goals and 2 assists as well.

Nikolaj Ehlers ($4,900) – Ehlers hasn’t played great of late, but he does seem to own the Blackhawks this season. In 3 games against Chicago this season the Jets winger has 3 goals and an assists as well as an average of 6.3 DKFP per game. Ehlers is playing on the Jets top line with Jets captain, Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifelethis is also my favorite line stack in what could be one of the top two scoring games tonight.

Value Tier:

Pavel Buchnevich ($4,500) – Buchnevich comes into tonight riding a nice 7 game point streak for the Rangers. During his streak, Buchnevich has totaled 4 goals and 4 assists while amassing 19 shots on goal.  Aside from his lengthy point streak Buchnevich has 3 assists in 3 games against the Devils this season

Anthony Duclair ($3,800) –  Duclair has been absolutely amazing in Ottawa, but  he had to be or his NHL career could have been over. He has bounced around the league, after being traded from Rangers to the Coyotes then to the Blackhawks and finally to the Blue Jackets before becoming a Senator at the deadline. Duclair has 13 points in 17 games since becoming a Senator and has been extremely hot of late. He has 9 points (5 goals and 4 assists) in his last eight.

Dominik Kahun ($3,100) – Kahun is a very interesting play tonight, is he stays on the Blackhawks second line with Dylan Strome and Alex DeBrincatLike Ehlers in this same game, Kahun hasn’t been playing great of late but does have 2 goals in 3 games against the Jets this season. I am really only on Kahun tonight if he stay with the players I mentioned above.

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Top Tier:

Dusting Byfuglien ($6,100) – Byfuglien returned on Saturday night from an ankle injury and logged over 24 minutes. Even though he did not register a point, just having him back at what looks to be full strength is huge for the Jets heading into the playoffs. Tonight’s game against the Blackhawks could tally over 6 goals and I think tonight he gets back on the score sheet.

Other Options: Ryan McDonagh ($5,800) – if Hedman is out, Thomas Chabot ($5,500)

Value Tier:

Michael Del Zotto ($2,700) – Del Zotto has 3 assists in his last 4 games for the Blues. MDZ only had 4 assists in 23 games for the Canucks this season, so he only needs 1 more to match that total for the Blues. Del Zotto is also seeing good minutes, playing over 15 per game for the Blues.

Other Options: Nick Leddy ($3,600), Will Butcher ($3,200)

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – MARCH 17: Jonathan Marchessault #81, William Karlsson #71 and Mark Stone #61 of the Vegas Golden Knights celebrate after Karlsson assisted on Stone’s first-period goal against the Edmonton Oilers during their game at T-Mobile Arena on March 17, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. NHL DFS Line Stacks:

You could really go with either of the Vegas power play units, but I am going to focus on the Knights first unit. Edmonton takes the 12th most penalties in the league and have the 30th ranked penalty kill.

More from FanSided

REILLY SMITH
JONATHAN MARCHESSAULT
MARK STONE
SHEA THEODORE
WILLIAM KARLSSON

Los Angeles has the 29th ranked penalty kill on the season and like with Vegas above, either of the Flames PK units would be a good play to me. I am going to put their 2nd unit in for the savings.

MATTHEW TKACHUK
MIKAEL BACKLUND
ELIAS LINDHOLM
T.J. BRODIE
RASMUS ANDERSSON

Other Options: NYR 1, Washington 1 and PP 1, Florida 1, Chicago PP 1, Winnipeg 1 and 2, St. Louis 2 (value).

NHL DFS Lineup Build:

My lineup build begins with the Flames, with David Rittich in net, and then I want Elias Lindholm and Rasmus AnderssonNext I am locking in the two value plays from the Hawks/Jets game with Nikolaj Ehlers and Dominik Kahun. Lastly I am taking William Karlsson and Mark Stone. This will leave you one defenseman spot and a center open and $6,650 salary per player left to fill those last two spots with.
