3. Jonah Williams

If the Dolphins don’t go for a quarterback or edge rusher, they could stand to find an upgrade on the offensive line. Miami made the decision to let Ju’Wuan James leave in free agency which leaves a pretty big hole at the right tackle position.

A few scouts think Williams is destined to play guard in the NFL, but most believe he’s capable of staying at tackle. He doesn’t quite have the feet to protect a quarterback’s blind side, but he does have enough skill to play on the right side. Williams would also profile as an above average run blocker on the strong side of the field.

The question the Dolphins have to ask themselves about Williams is whether or not he has enough upside to justify this draft slot. He projects as a solid pro, but probably doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as some other guys who will be available.

His lack of upside, coupled with his position, push him a little further down the Dolphins’ list. He’d be a solid pick for them to build around, but they shouldn’t be criticized if they choose to take a bigger swing.
