Indeed, Jim Ross is “All Elite,” as AEW announces the legend will be joining the promotion. AEW also finalized plans for its broadcast team.

As he hinted on last week’s Ross Report podcast, legendary pro wrestling commentator Jim Ross is indeed taking his talents to All Elite Wrestling. The comes on the heels of his WWE contract expiring last week following Ross spending 26 years with the company.

The hire was announced on this week’s episode of AEW’s “The Road to Double or Nothing” on YouTube. AEW also issued a press release providing more details on Ross’ role in the upstart promotion.

In the release, the company notes that Ross’ deal is for three years and that he’ll officially be considered a Senior Advisor. Ross’ contract is, “the most lucrative deal in pro wrestling commentary history.” Ross will appear in-ring at Double or Nothing, AEW’s debut event scheduled for May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and “he will also work closely with the senior leaders at AEW on their roadmap to shift and reinvent the wrestling landscape,” per the release.

In the release, Ross said of his new professional home and responsibilities that, “I’m moving on in a very positive way to this timely opportunity to be on the ground floor of one of the most exciting moments in the history of pro wrestling.” AEW President Tony Khan added, “as a business, we also seek to make this a new golden age for the performers and our staff members. Our entire team is thrilled to have Jim onboard and we can’t wait to shake things up together.”
