1. Health will improve

No one can blame Yankee fans for believing their team is cursed with bad luck at the moment. The number of injuries to important players is staggering. At some point, a lot of these injured players are going to get back on the field for the team.

Their returns probably won’t happen as quickly as fans want to see, but the cavalry is on the way. CC Sabathia is very close to returning to the starting rotation. Luis Severino should join him in May. Dellin Betances should join the bullpen sometime in between Sabathia and Severino’s respective returns.

Giancarlo Stanton shouldn’t miss too much time for his biceps injury. Rest and recovery are all that should be required. The Yankees might be even more careful with Troy Tulowitzki given his injury history, but it would be a surprise if he doesn’t rejoin the starting lineup sometime in May. Aaron Hicks has recently resumed baseball activities so he should come back sometime in that same time frame.

The only guy who might be lost for the season is Miguel Andujar. Team officials won’t know if his injured shoulder requires surgery for another week. If he does, his 2019 campaign is over. If his body does respond well to rest, he could be back in May as well.

The bottom line here is that big time help is on the way for the Yankees. The team needs to tread water until their stars come back, but this injury “crisis” may be forgotten about once the calendar turns to June.
