2. T.J. Hockenson

Not every prospect the Packers might move up to draft plays on the defensive side of the football. Getting a big-time target for Aaron Rodgers should also appeal to Green Bay’s front office. There isn’t a wide receiver worthy of consideration, but Hockenson is a potential game changer at tight end.

Clearly, Rodgers would be excited to add a tight end that many scouts say reminds them of Rob Gronkowski. He isn’t quite as dynamic as the former Patriots star, but he’s a match-up problem for everyone. His ability to punish defenders with his blocks is nice, but it’s his ability to get out in the space and make plays that makes him special.

Hockenson won’t be the fastest tight end in the league, but the 4.7 40-yard dash he ran at the Combine shows he’s got enough speed to trouble opposing defenses. What really impresses you about Hockenson on film is his fluidity as a receiver. He runs crisp routes that would make NFL wide receivers jealous.

The Packers currently have Jimmy Graham, but Hockenson could take his starting position immediately. He also is the guy on this list that would require the least draft capital to move up and take. Green Bay would only need to move up a few spots to get in front of the other franchises interested in taking him in the Top 10.
