A lot of storylines use WrestleMania as the end of their respective feuds, but Shane McMahon and The Miz used it to step up their conflict.

WrestleMania is famous for serving as the end point for some of wrestling’s most famous feuds. That won’t be the role it plays for Shane McMahon and The Miz. Their story still has plenty of twists and turns after McMahon’s narrow victory.

McMahon brutalized The Miz early in the match and even managed to get his hands on the Miz’s father again. Things took a turn when Miz regained consciousness and stormed back into the ring. He began a slow brutalization of SmackDown‘s general manager that left the ring, made its way through the foreign announcers area and ended up on temporary scaffolding built to house WWE cameras for the event.

McMahon really didn’t know much about the win. The Miz executed a beautiful superplex from atop the scaffolding that saw he and his opponent take a serious fall to the platform below. Both men were rendered motionless by the move but McMahon landed on top of his competitor. As such, he scored the victory as the referee counted one, two, three.

Don’t expect The Miz to let the loss end his quest to exact revenge on McMahon. He won’t be happy with the fact that McMahon managed to hurt his father once again. It’s safe to assume this feud will continue to dominate SmackDown for weeks to come.

From Shane’s perspective, expect him to gloat that his WrestleMania victory over The Miz only goes to prove his assertion that he’s the best in the world. He’ll point out that he was able to score a victory over his opponent even when he was completely out of sorts. His continued arrogance should provide The Miz even more motivation to get his hands on McMahon once again.
