The Heat’s Dwyane Wade tribute video will level you

Dwyane Wade was determined to make his last home game special. The Miami Heat helped him out with this video.
The first 80 games of this Miami Heat season have served as a celebration of the incredible career and accomplishments of Dwyane Wade. On Tuesday, in his final home game in front of the Heat fans, Wade gave them one more reminder.
In a 23-point win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Wade poured in 30 points, 10-of-23 from the field. Between the regular season and the playoffs, this was the 254th time in his career Wade scored at least 30 points in a game. Minus some of the explosive athleticism that defined the earlier part of his career, this was still a vintage Wade performance — timing, touch, angles, floaters and long strides, all keeping the defense off balance.
Yesterday, a moving Budweiser ad focused on Wade’s incredible off-court achievement put us all in our feelings. For his final home game, the Heat produced an equally moving tribute to his on-court ones.

Unfortunately, the Heat were eliminated from playoff contention last night, despite their win, meaning Wade’s storied career will end Wednesday evening on the road, against the Brooklyn Nets.
Wade’s career averages — 22.0 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game — speak to his versatile all-around impact. His collection of accolades — 13 All-Star selections, eight All-NBA selections, three, All-Defense selections, three championships, a Finals MVP, and a scoring title — simply emphasize it.

Wade will be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and will almost certainly have his jersey retired in the future by the Heat. Although tribute videos like this will be the only places we can watch him play basketball from now on, there will still be plenty more opportunities to celebrate one of the greatest guards in NBA history.
