The NBA had a special throwback night as they partied like it’s 2009 with Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade and Jamal Crawford turning back the clock.

The NBA had a throwback night as fans hopped into their hot tub time machines and were taken back to the magical time of 2009.

In their final home games, Dirk Nowitzki scored 30 points as Mavericks fans got their tearful goodbye from Uncle Dirk. Then, there was Dwyane Wade having one last dance with the Heat and going off for a 30-piece of his own. The trifecta of the night was the most surprising as Jamal Crawford lit it up with 51 points for the Suns. The 39-year-old Crawford is now the oldest player in NBA history with a 50-point game, and his four, 50-point games with four different teams is also an NBA record.

It was a much simpler time back then when America’s Sweethearts, Jim and Pam were getting married at Niagara Falls, Parks and Recreation just made its debut, Walter White was just getting into the empire business and everyone was looking forward to the highly anticipated return of the marquee HBO show, True Blood.

Avatar was the big winner at the box office, The Hangover introduced Bradley Cooper to a larger audience and Sandra Bullock took in “Big Mike” in The Blind Side.

Lady Gaga was only a musician singing about her Bad Romance, Miley Cyrus was Partying in the U.S.A. and The Black Eyed Peas Gotta Feeling and Jay-Z had an Empire State of Mind.

What was really special about Tuesday night’s throwback night was Dirk, D-Wade and Crawford got a 25 percent discount on their dinner for using their AARP card.
