Absurd stat lines, unbelievable efficiency and broken records everywhere. What were the best single-game performances of the 2018-19 NBA season?

Every single night in the NBA contains a number of superlative performances. Players rise above and put up stat lines that range from the merely impressive to the simply unbelievable. Both stars and journeymen are capable of playing games that are immediately iconic, unforgettable to anyone who watched them. As there is every year, there were a ton of memorable performances from a number of players this season, and these are the five of the absolute best.

5. James Harden’s 58 points against Miami

Honestly, in light of what a spectacular season James Harden has had, this whole list could just be five separate games by him. He scored 50 or more points on nine separate occasions and topped 60 twice as well. Night after night, he put on an absolute clinic in offensive domination, proving himself again and again to be both an unstoppable scorer and a master at running an offense. Of all his astonishing performances though, I’m choosing to highlight his 58 point outing against the Heat on Feb. 28. That night, he paired his scoring output with 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals as he helped lead the Rockets back from a 12-point deficit that loomed over them as they entered the fourth quarter. Harden scored 17 points in both the third and fourth quarters to lead the team to a much-needed victory, showing fans yet again why he is a leading candidate to win his second consecutive MVP.
