FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 16, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
DeMar DeRozan (at DEN – $8,500): Needs 36.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.4 fantasy points against Denver. Playoff DeRozan was not in the building in Game 1. I’m still not sold on DeRozan being consistent in the playoffs but it was a nice start for him. And I will never doubt the Spurs because you should never doubt the Spurs. The shots will always be there for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $6,900): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.7 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. McCollum played well enough in Game 1 but I always like him against the Thunder. He’ll continue to get his looks and I will never be sold on the Thunder being a consistent team. McCollum should once again get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Dennis Schroder (at POR – $5,200): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.5 fantasy points against Portland. Schroder can be a mixed bag but the shots and minutes are going to be there for him. And I suspect he’ll shoot a little bit better in Game 2 because the Thunder shooting that poorly again would be rather unheard of. The ceiling is high. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Gary Harris (vs SA – $4,600): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.1 fantasy points against San Antonio. Harris played very well in Game 1, his minutes are going to be there, and he’s at a great salary compared to the rest of the options who get big minutes on Tuesday night. I love Harris as a salary saving option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
