There have been a lot of changes over the past few months when it comes to John Harbaugh’s club. Are the Baltimore Ravens primed for a big 2019?
In 2018, the Baltimore Ravens overcame a sluggish start and wound up AFC North champions. But it’s been an offseason of major departures for a franchise looking to make consecutive playoff appearances for the first time since head coach John Harbaugh began his career with the team and led them to the postseason each of his first five seasons.
Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was dealt to the Denver Broncos. Pass-rushers Terrell Suggs and Za’Darius Smith are now with the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers, respectively. Inside linebacker C.J. Mosley signed with the New York Jets. Safety Eric Weddle was released and joined the Los Angeles Rams. Those are some big names gone from a team that won 10 games in 2018.

The Ravens’ offense is being geared around the numerous skills of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who took over with seven games to play this past season and opened some eyes in various ways. DeCosta has seven picks in this year’s draft and it will be interesting to see what direction the team goes with those selections.
