Frank Reich and the Indianapolis Colts really have something going these days. Can they pick up where they left off in 2018 and make a deeper playoff run?

A little over a year ago, it looked like former New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was on his way to becoming the new head coach of the Colts. But a funny thing happened on the way to Indianapolis as the play-caller opted to remain in Foxborough. Hence, the franchise wound up turning to another offensive-minded coach in Frank Reich, who was coming off winning a Super Bowl championship with the Philadelphia Eagles.

It certainly did start well. The Colts were 1-5 six games into the season. But slowly but surely, the club rounded into form. It would win nine of its final 10 games to secure a wild card berth. A playoff win at Houston was followed by a divisional round setback at Kansas City. But quarterback Andrew Luck and his team are certainly on the rise.

Here is how the complete schedule, week-by-week, lays out for the Indianapolis Colts:

The Colts have spent more times re-signing their players than adding veteran free agents. General manager Chris Ballard did ink wide receiver Devin Funchess to a one-year deal and also secured the services of standout pass-rusher Justin Houston, cut loose by the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason.

Ballard has nine draft choices to work with in late April. That includes a pair of selections in both the second and fourth rounds. He did masterful work during last year’s selection process (see Quenton Nelson, Darius Leonard, Braden Smith, etc.), which is why there is so much excitement surrounding the franchise. And with good reason.
