The 2018 season proved to be a bitter pill to swallow for the New Orleans Saints. Is the team equipped to make another run at a championship?

They finished tied with the best record in the NFL and were the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. The New Orleans Saints appeared primed to make the short trip to Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII. But it all came apart in very odd fashion courtesy of an overtime loss to the visiting Los Angeles Rams in the conference title game.

Now head coach Sean Payton, prolific quarterback Drew Brees and the rest of the team not only look to win another NFC South title but to get back to the “Big Game.” Super Bowl LIV will be held in South Florida, the site of the Saints’ Super Bowl XLIV victory over the Indianapolis Colts in 2009.

There have a been a few changes to last year’s roster, perhaps the most significant departures being running back Mark Ingram – now with the Baltimore Ravens – and the retirements of center Max Unger and tight end Benjamin Watson. Enter defensive tackle Malcom Brown, running back Latavius Murray and Pro Bowl tight end Jared Cook.
