One day after the Kansas City Chiefs traded for Frank Clark and his checkered past, the team is getting an update on the investigation into Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill has been under investigation for over in month in connection to the alleged battery of his 3-year-old son. On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL and Hill himself will be given an update on his situation from the Johnson County (Ks.) Distrcit Attorney’s Office.

The investigation into Hill was first reported by the Kansas City Star. In that piece, the Star relayed that a pair of police reports were made involving Hill’s son and his fiance, Crystal Espinal. The March 5 report cited neglect or child abuse. The case has since been closed.

The March 14 report cited juvenile battery. Espinal’s name is on the police report made available to the public. Hill’s was not. At this time, Hill has not been charged with any crime, although the investigation remains open. In the Star’s initial report, it was stated that Hill’s son suffered a broken arm, although it’s uncertain how or when.

Six days ago, multiple outlets reported that Hill and Espinal had custody of their child temporarily taken away from them. The couple has been going to family court in connection with the investigation, although it remains unclear how many times they have appeared.

This is not the first time Hill’s name has been connected with violence. In 2014 while at Oklahoma State, Hill punched and strangled Espinal, who was pregnant with their son at the time. Since joining the Chiefs as a rookie in 2016, Hill has not been involved in any criminal behavior.
