FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 27, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Jamal Murray (vs SA – $7,700): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.6 fantasy points against San Antonio. I don’t like Ben Simmons, at least in Game 1, against the Raptors. So we’ll save some money and go with Murray, who is streaky, but he’s at home and a guy I think will step up in a big way in Game 7. Or he’ll completely shoot himself out of the game. That’s kind of how it goes with Murray. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs PHI – $7,500): Needs 33 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.3 fantasy points against Orlando. It’s Game 1 Lowry and that’s always a scary thing. But he turned his game around after Game 1 against the Magic and the Raptors are the better team in this series. He averaged 34.3 fantasy points in four games against the Sixers this season but all of those games came before the trade deadline. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Derrick White (at DEN – $5,200): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.2 fantasy points against Denver. White’s salary has dropped and that really helps his value in this game. He’s shown a high ceiling but aside from Game 3, he’s just been hovering around 20 fantasy points. I don’t doubt the Spurs in this situation. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Patty Mills (at DEN – $4,700): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.4 fantasy points against Denver. Mills has been solid in the last three games and he gets enough minutes and shots to justify the low price. Forbes is another option but Mills has just been better in recent contests. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
