Winner No. 5: Peyton Barber

Most thought that when Bruce Arians called Peyton Barber “really impressive,” it was just off-season coach speak. No one else has been too impressed with Barber thus far in his career. However, the Bucs did not draft a running back in the NFL Draft, leaving Barber and Ronald Jones as the top two options in the running game for now.

It could be that Arians saw enough good traits on tape for Barber that he decided to give him a shot at being the lead back in his offense. Arians did bring in a familiar face in Andre Ellington, and the Bucs signed Bruce Anderson as an undrafted free agent after the draft, but the job seems to be Barber’s to lose (despite the Bucs trying to pump up Ronald Jones with positivity). Barber should still fall to the very late rounds of fantasy drafts, but may be a very sneaky sleeper pick if he ends up starting in an Arians offense.
