St. Louis Cardinals: The Clydesdales

In the history of Major League Baseball, few teams have had as much success as the St. Louis Cardinals. In fact, only the New York Yankees and their 27 World Series titles sit above the Cardinals when it comes to the teams that have won the most championships in the history of the sport.

If there is one thing that the Cardinals do right, it is honoring their heroes, and we see it every year during their home opener. The Cardinals bring back all of their legendary players who can attend, and they pay homage to the greats who have put on the Cardinals uniform in years past.

One other tradition the franchise has is bringing in the Clydesdales for the home opener as well as for playoff games. While Anheuser-Busch no longer owns the team, as they were bought out by William DeWitt Jr.in 1996, the team still brings out the Budweiser Clydesdales and play inside Busch Stadium.

The Clydesdales are renowned, and outside of making their appearances at Cardinals games they also are known nationally, serving as the face of the Budweiser brand, especially during the holidays. The Cardinals have other rituals, but when it comes to this franchise there is nothing more majestic than those beautiful horses trotting around the stadium.
